ALT Linux LXDE Description
ALT Linux LXDE is an open source, lightweight, free, easy-to-use, small and very fast Linux operating system built on top of ALT Linux’s main edition and using LXDE (Lightweight X11 Desktop Environment) as its default desktop environment. The distributions includes several useful applications, such as the Leafpad text editor, Mozilla Firefox web browser, DeaDBeeF music player, mtPaint, UFRaw, Geeqie, XTerm, Midnight Commander, Sakura, and much more. ALT Linux LXDE is distributed as Live CD ISO images that support both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures. A persistent mode is also implemented in the Live CDs, allowing users to save their settings during the live session (only available for USB flash drives). The distro can be easily installed on a local disk drive using the included installer. ALT Linux is an open source, free and easy-to-use GNU/Linux operating system comes with many popular desktop environments, including Cinnamon, MATE, GNOME, KDE, Razor-qt, Xfce, WindowMaker, and Enlightenment (E17).
