Entrance Description

A MySQL client. Entrance project is a MySQL client. Entrance also provides tools for exchanging data with other applications, like spreadsheets, and tools for exploring data using an innovative technique called "data painting". Shown below is the Entrance main window, with a single MySQL table displayed. On the left side of the window, you can see the explorer tree with nodes corresponding to hosts, databases, tables, and SQL queries.Tables can be dragged and dropped between database nodes, and files can be dragged and dropped between folders. Clipboard data from other applications can be pasted into a new table or appended to an existing one. Tools are also provided for creating and restructuring tables. You can edit multiple SQL scripts and tables at the same time, and a single script can contain multiple SQL commands: Since Entrance is multi-threaded, you can run multiple queries and MySQL "show" commands simultaneously. For example, you can run "show processlist" in one tab window, while SQL queries are running in others. Entrance provides an innovative technique called "data painting" that is based on the "brushing" techniques described by William Cleveland in The Elements of Graphing Data. The Entrance implementation uses color overrides that make it possible for a SQL query to "paint" data items so that they show up in different colors when plotted. Requirements: · MySQL What's New in This Release: · This version fixes a number of bugs and bundles an installer for the beta version of EntranceServlet. (Please contact us if you would like to participate in beta testing the servlet). · Problems with labels for histograms (#310) , parsing (#306, #311), null for an autoscaled log axis (#308), title line spacing (#305) and USColoringBooks have all been fixed. Also, bars and markers can now be assigned to the second axis using BAR:Y2 or TRIANGLE:Y2 syntax, and we have improved logging for the servlet.
