PySQL Description

A full (and much more) replacement for sqlplus. PySQL's project aim is to be a full (and much more) replacement for sqlplus. This projet start the 17th of august 2006. It is also a cool pretext for coding in Python. Some ideas behind PySQL:- really usable and not painfull (history, completion, line edition...)- high level function often used (search for tables, indexes, count, explain plan, list of sessions...)- proper output for screen and file (csv ready for inclusion in spreadsheets)- user defined macro ? Requirements: · cx_Oracle What's New in This Release: · Switch to git and slighly reorganise source tree. Kill useless and dead modules (pysqlio and pysqlnet). Switch from GPLv2 to GPLv3. Full switch to Unicode inside Pysql. Honor Oracle client encoding (NLS_LANG) for database in/out and terminal encoding for user in/out. Add some unit test and fix all comments handling New function parser that allow more complex and usefull command switch. Graphical functions (datamodel, diskusage...) get new options as well as desc (sort column) and session (display all sessions).
