CPU Mhz Speed Meter Description

CPU Mhz Speed Meter is a lightweight gadget built on the Thoosje Vista Sidebar platform, developed to keep you up-to-date with the current CPU clock speed and resources usage. It mainly targets users who frequently put a strain on the system resources, such as hardcore video gamers. Once installed, you can move the frame anywhere on the screen by dragging it with the mouse cursor. A dial indicates the current CPU speed on the clock, along with the percent level and usage. Unfortunately, CPU Mhz Speed Meter does not come equipped with any configuration options of its own. Thanks to the default settings provided by the Vista Sidebar, you can make the frame stay on top of other windows, as well as modify its opacity, by picking a predefined value between 20% and 100%. The widget is very light on the system resources, running on a minimal amount of CPU and RAM. It has a good response time and delivers accurate information. No error dialogs have been shown throughout our evaluation, and the tool did not hang or crash. On the downside, CPU Mhz Speed Meter has not been updated for a pretty long time.
