Vista MIDI Picker Description
Vista MIDI Picker is a small software audio application designed specifically for helping you change the default MIDI output device. It runs on Windows Vista platforms and offers a straightforward solution in order to help you bypass some Vista limitations. There’s no support for configuration settings in Vista that give you the freedom to tweak the default MIDI device. The process can be manually carried out via registry tweaks but this type of job is hard to accomplish especially for a less experienced user. Vista MIDI Picker delivers a simple way for helping you solve this small inconvenience. The comfort of working with portable toolsThe application comes wrapped up in a portable package which can be deployed on your system on the fly. You can run the utility by simply opening the executable file. Copying it on any USB flash drives or other devices is also possible. It doesn’t write entries in your Windows registry and leave configuration data in your computer, so you may run it without administrative privileges. Simple looksThere’s not much to talk about the GUI as it looks simple and plain. There’s no support for a help manual but you don’t need one in order to decode the program’s features, as they are highly intuitive. All configuration settings are embedded in a single window, so no other intricate settings are hidden under its hood. How it works Vista MIDI Picker gives you the possibility to select the preferred MIDI output device from a drop-down list and simply hit the ‘Save’ button in order to apply the current settings. In order to see the changes, you need to restart any active MIDI applications. Bottom lineAll in all, Vista MIDI Picker provides a simplistic software solution for helping Windows Vista users change the default MIDI output device.
