The RecordsKeeper Description

As of May 6, 2014, the RecordsKeeper is no longer available for purchase. However, a legacy version can be downloaded and used for free. To benefit from its full functionality, users need to install the "Current version" first, then to install the "Legacy version" on top of it (which will remove the 30-day trial limitation). A Read-only version is also available, allowing users only to view data (without enjoying editing options). The RecordsKeeper's system will help you keep records of anything that you may like to remember in an easy and intuitive way. It can be a repository for almost anything that you should or might want to keep a record of, either for reference or for historical purposes RecordsKeeper is meant to keep records that are relatively static in nature, that is, records that do not change much or that often. Records of insurance policies, stock and mutual funds, bank and investment accounts, wills, contracts, certificates and the like are all candidates for the RecordsKeeper. RecordsKeeper does not replace your high transaction systems, but it can be used to keep a record of where those systems are, how to access them, and how to use them. The one dynamic area where you may find it very useful though is for keeping a record of time measures for things that are important to you. In this area, the system provides you with the ability to keep track of targets and limits as well as the measures themselves, and provides the ability to portray the data in meaningful charts with trend lines. Examples might include keeping track of your weight, your cholesterol levels, or the number of miles or hours you run or jog each week, month or day. Main features: Customizable Data Labels: You can customize and label the various data capture fields so that whatever you decide you want to keep a record of, you can organize it using labels and descriptors that you name yourself. You are not in any way limited by the system, since virtually everything can be customized. You can even change the language that is used by default on the screens. Customizable Data Organization: Records of things you want to keep information about are organized under tabsets and tabs. A tabset contains up to 17 tabs, each fully customizable, and you may establish an unlimited number of tabsets. You choose what to name each tabset and tab, and you choose what to name each data field within a tab, using screens established for that purpose. Thus, you have a broad range of organizational possibilities for your data. You can also organize your items across the tabsets and tabs by assigning them to a physical location, such as a safety deposit box. Customizable Screen and Report Captions: Everything on the screens and reports is fully customizable, thus you can change the wording of buttons, guidance phrases, help information, etc. even the language to suit your specific needs. Variety of Field Options: A large number and variety of data fields are available to capture your data – you can enter text, numbers, photos, scanned images, amounts, dates, hyperlinks (addresses of web-sites, pictures, images, folders and files, etc.) and in some cases, there is virtually no limit to the amount of data you can capture. You can even attach files (photos, scanned images and documents) and save them right in the database so that you always have them. Meaningful and Practical Reports: There are a number of reports that you can print, store and forward via e-mail. Most have options that provide you with the ablility to select what information you want on a specific report. The reports can be saved in various formats and forwarded via e-mail. Startup Data: You are provided with a sample user’s database of items. You can change, add or delete the sample user's data to test and try things, and to help you understand how to use the system to get a sense for its endless possiblilities. You can copy the sample user's headers, captions and data to your own private space and then use it as is or alter it to make it meaningful to you.
