Real NetStat Description

Real NetStat shows you all the network/internet connections established between your PC and their source. It also displays the “listening” sessions, that are open locally. If you’re familiarized with the netstat command from Windows, then you can easily understand what this program does. It provides comprehensive statistics about all the TCP/UDP connections in a user-friendly GUI (unlike the Windows command that gives you text-only details). You can also get statistics about the processes involved in each connection, all the modules that are opened (like DLLs), file properties, etc. An interesting feature of this utility is the monitoring tool, which can be configured to take certain actions when some conditions are met. It’s very versatile and can help you automate whatever tasks you may need. Here’s an example: you can create a rule so that each time your computer is pinged from an IP address it shuts down. The interface is very organized, easy to understand and intuitive. It gives a lot of freedom to customize and use it. You can really get creative with this software and it’s so good that it’s hard to find any negative aspect about it (even the “nag screen” isn’t annoying).
