PDF to CAD/AutoCAD Converter processes drawings in PDF into AutoCAD standard drawings that could be edited in the AutoCAD or compatible software. It is a standalone tool and does not need the AutoCAD or anything like that. You would not need Acrobat tools either. This has a simple interface and works as a batch processor. It is simple to create a batch list of files to be processed. The utility handles DWG or DXF equally easily and convert your files to any of the several versions released by Autodesk. Colors used in the drawing are retained and drawings are resized according to the scale. The utility is able to recognize line widths automatically. Complete document or a set of pages from the document can be converted. Each page of the PDF can be converted into separate drawings in AutoCAD. Vector entities like lines, polylines, splines, hatches, circles and arcs are recognized and generated in the drawings. Scanned PDF can be converted directly without going through the intermediate stage of converting the raster to vectors first. Layers used in the PDF drawing are restored. Any embedded raster images can be extracted easily. When creating a batch, you could specify folders. It will include all the files in the folder for processing. If there are sub-directories and you need to include them, you simply specify so. If you have need for converting PDFs and do not want to tie up an AutoCAD seat, this could be a useful tool.
