KennelMate is a nice management solution for Boarding Kennels and Catteries. To be honest, I didn't even know those existed. And some people might not know about them. Simply put, a boarding kennel or cattery is a place where you can leave your pet while you are away. It is like a hotel for dogs, or cats. So, if you are in the business, you need a way to manage your guest list, and your units. During the setup of the application, you will be asked how many kennels your business has and what are the types. The types can be a small dog, a large dog, or a small cat, for example. One of the following steps asks you how much you charge per day, week, month, and what additional charges there are for 2nd guests, 3rd guests, etc. Once the application has been set up, which doesn't take long if you have all the information you need at hand, you can start adding bookings. For each new guest, you can, and in some cases must, add lots of information. The most important fields are Name, Breed, Diet, Medicine, Tag ID, Color, Date of Birth, and type of animal. You also have to add information about the owner, which will be important if you plan on charging them. There is support for discounts and referrals. Briefly speaking, KennelMate seems to have every feature you would need to manage your Boarding Kennel business. It requires no training for your staff.
