JobQuote Description

The JobQuote application was developed to be is a system for producing Contract Estimates (Quotes) and tracking Contact information. Although it was designed with a woodworking business in mind, it can be customized to work for many kinds of businesses. Basic Concepts: Customer - A Customer can be listed as a Client or Company. Job - A Job is work associated with a Customer. A completed Job must contain one or more Projects. Project - A Project is a task associated with a Job. Labor Costs are associated with each Project. Materials List - A Materials List can be attached to a Project. Materials are selected from the Master Materials List. Material Item - One or more Material Items are in a Materials List. Material Costs are calculated by Item Quantity. A Job is like a file folder which contains Project bid information. You may think of a Job as a potential Contract for which a Bid or Estimate will be generated (a JobQuote). A Job may contain a single Project or be divided into multiple Projects.
