Drive Ejector Description
Drive Ejector is a Windows gadget that lets you easily open disc trays with the click of a button. It comes in handy if the hardware is faulty, for example. Installing the app is done almost instantly. Its interface is represented by a very small frame that you can move to any position on the screen with the help of the mouse cursor. It shows the letter of each disc drive, so you can click any of them to open. There is also a button that ejects all trays at the same time. There are no other notable features available here. Unfortunately, Drive Ejector does not come with any configuration settings of its own. Thanks to the default Windows options (which apply to most desktop widgets), it is possible to make the frame stay on top of other windows, as well as to set its opacity level to a predefined value, ranging between 20% and 100%. The app does not affect the overall performance of the PC, as it runs on low CPU and RAM. We have not come across any type of difficulties throughout our evaluation, since the app did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. In conclusion, Drive Ejector delivers a very simple solution to opening disc trays, and it can be handled by all types of users, whether they are experienced with computer software or not.
