Ace Media Player Description

Ace Media Player is, as the name suggests it, a media player which enables you to play audio and video files. It supports a large number of formats, including ASF, AVI, AU, WMV, MPG, MP4, 3GP, 3G2, MOV, FLV, FLAC and MKV. After a quick and uneventful installation process, you are met with a straightforward and modern-looking interface, which enables both novice and power users to find their way around it, without facing issues. It contains a panel in which to add multiple files, a volume bar, elapsed and total time, and several playback controls, such as play/pause, stop, next or previous item. A small drawback here is the fact that the elapsed time displayed is not always accurate. It is possible to upload multiple songs, movies and playlists at a time, as well as all the supported files within a directory. In addition to that, the “drag and dropped” function is integrated, a feature that helps you easily manage items. All the uploaded files can be saved to the hard drive as a playlist, in an MPL file format, so that you can listen to it at a later date. You can play items only once or loop them, as well as shuffle the entire playlist and see media information, such as size, length, resolution, codec, bit rate and frame rate. The aspect ratio and window size can be tinkered with, while subtitles can be added from the hard drive, in ASS and SRT formats. From the settings panel, you can customize the subs, in the sense that you can change the font type, color and size, as well as add shadows or borders. To conclude, Ace Media Player is a useful piece of software when it comes to playing audio and video files, with a good response time.
