ShortStuff Description

Firefox add-on that enables you to place a shortened version of your URL page. Sometimes you want to paste a URL on a messageboard or email, but it's too long. So you use a url shortening service, but that adds an extra step to the copying and pasting process. This add on eliminates that step.ShortStuff places a shortened version of a url of a page or link on the clipboard. It uses tinyurl.com or snipr.com or a URL shortening service of your choice. Press Ctrl+Shift+S or click on the status bar icon to start the conversion of the current URL. Right clicking on a link lets you convert the URL of the link. Right click on the status bar icon to set the default site to use or add you own.The ShortStuff extension allows you to choose from different shortening services such as TinyURL.com or Snipr.com. The ShortStuff addon is cross-platform and it works on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
