pgtclng Description

A free and loadable Tcl/Tk based tool for accessing PostgreSQL databases pgtclng (PostgreSQL Tcl Interface Next-Generation) is a loadable Tcl/Tk tool for accessing PostgreSQL databases. pgtclng started from the libpgtcl bundled in pre-8.0 releases of PostgreSQL, and included extensions from an early release of the Pgtcl project on gborg.postgresql.com. pgtclng has additional extensions and fixes, including features added in the companion project pgintcl. (Pgintcl is a pure-Tcl implementation of the PostgreSQL Tcl interface.)Applications for Tcl/Tk scripts using Pgtclng range from simple database query utilities, to database report generation scripts, to complete application programs with graphical user interfaces. What's New in This Release: · The release now supports building a Tcl stubs-enabled module on Windows, · which means the same compiled module will load into different Tcl versions. · There is one minor bug fix to pg_encrypt_password. An error was not · properly detected when the command was passed an invalid, empty username.
