Analysis and visualization of social networks Visone is a project developing models and algorithms to integrate and advance the analysis and visualization of social networks.Part of Visone is the design and implementation of a software tool intended for research and teaching in social network analysis. Visone is specifically designed to allow experts and novices alike to apply innovative and advanced visual methods with ease and accuracy. Here are some key features of "Visone": · interactive graphical user interface, tailored to social networks · innovative network visualizations · support of unconfirmed relations · available in Java for Windows, Linux, and MacOS · import and export of standard formats for social network data · publication-quality export in JPEG, PDF, SVG, Metafile, and other formats Requirements: · Java 1.6 or later What's New in This Release: · It is now possible to import edge attributes into the network by an adjacency matrix in csv format, similar to graph import by adjacency matrix. See Attribute Manager → Edges → Export & Import. Row/Column-labels may be used to match rows/columns to the ids of the nodes in the network. Error Fixes: · Centrality Layout now keeps the size of the nodes when applied more than once. · Status Layout now optionally provides drawing of status niveaus. · Background information, i.e., radial/status niveaus are now exported with the graph.
