SafeDownload - Firefox add-on that automatically scans the files you download Automatically scan downloaded files for viruses. You can choose to scan immediately after the file has downloaded or wait until Firefox exits. Works well with NOD32 anti-virus. The SafeDownload extension is compatible with Firefox and Flock. You can install it in SeaMonkey and Thunderbird too, but I am still working on the compatibility.NOD32 or any other virus scanner scans incoming files (especially on ports 80 & 8080) with real-time protection enabled. Many computer users have multiple av programs installed. They generally enable one av scanner for real-time protection and use the others as on-demand scanners.That adds an additional layer of protection as some viruses may not be detected by your main av scanner. And since errors may occur by using more than one av program for real-time protection the only way to scan a file with a different av scanner is to manually scan it using an on-demand scanner. The SafeDownload extension automates that process by allowing you to configure up to four on-demand scanners.SafeDownload extension allows you to scan automatically your downloaded files.Requirements:· Firefox 1.5 or later
