Oreneta Description
Free and open source network analyzer Oreneta is a one way delay realtime network analyzer, using NTP and GPS for synchornization. Oreneta package is composed by two elements, the meters and the analyzer. Meters (meter directory) is a C program that should compile under most unixes. The makefile is quite easy, so you only need to type make (or gmake if you prefer) to get the meter binary. You must be root in order to use the meter, which uses libpcap in promiscuous mode. No parameters are needed to run the meter. Extra parameters would be documented as soon as possible. Meters listen data arriving from the network only when you send the order with the analyzer. Meters keep a listening socket in port 7777 (IPv4) so that the analyzer can connect to. The analyzer is developed in Java language and you'll need Java to compile it. Requirements: · Java 1.4 or later What's New in This Release: · Initial release.
