JView Description

View multiple image formats. JView allows you to open up and view different image formats including JPEG, GIF, TIF, BMP, PICT and ICNS formats. What is the most important difference from Apple's Preview?JView uses the actual dimension specified in the bitmap binary. Some images downloaded from the web or newsgroups are not well 'terminated' - have lost their 'end of image' bytes so that Preview will not be able to render them. JView will try to fix it automatically if that kind of images is encountered and render them correctly. Several zoom options are provided. Auto' zoom means the image will be resized while the window is being resized, and of course the ratio is maintained. 'Fit to Screen' means if the image is bigger than the screen it is scaled at a lower percentage so that it can be shown fully on the screen without scrollers. Here are some key features of "JView": · JView allows you not only open single image file but also a folder or folders of images. The first image in each folder will be opened in a separate window. · Each opened window is equipped with 'image navigation' which allows you to navigate through images contained in the current folder, which is where the opened image resides, and subfolders within the current folder with just one single keystroke. How deep the navigation goes into can be set in preferences. 0 means infinite. What's New in This Release: · Fixed white stripe rendering issue.
