A simple color picker for Google Chrome To make Color Pick work, right after installation you have to refresh the current webpage. Than you can hover the mouse over any area to see its background color in the pop-up that opens on the top right corner of your browser.If you are looking for a quick and easy to use color eye dropper with zoomed preview you have come to the right place. If you want to disable when you are not using it that is probably best, but it should work great on most webpages. The memory usage is getting pretty reasonable with the newer releases. The program does not reset the icon when you're done by default, it will retain the last preview you select. The page must also be fully loaded. If you need to get it working on a particular page refresh that page after installing or enabling to get it to work. ColorPick is not always perfectly accurate since the color is taken from a screenshot of the page instead of the actual page. Color Pick attempts to use lossless PNG quality to detect colors. If your browser is older then you may not have PNG support, meaning colors might not be perfectly accurate. A recent feature was auto enabled that redirects you to a framed version of the page if the color picker isn't responding quickly enough. This page may pop a new tab, but can be configured to use the same window however this is more risky since you might loose what you typed.Pressing r performs a screen refresh allowing limited mouse interactivity.
