ATLAS (Automatically Tuned Linear Algebra Software) project is an ongoing research effort focusing on applying empirical techniques in order to provide portable performance.ATLAS provides C and Fortran77 interfaces to a portably efficient BLAS implementation, as well as a few routines from LAPACK. What's New in This Release: · A new tuning mechanism tunes GER for in-L1, in-L2, and out-of-cache. · The C2F LAPACK interface is now only built if F77 LAPACK is provided. · Chad Zalkin's SSE GEMM generator has been added to ATLAS. · There are numerous bugfixes, including off-by-one bugs.
