percomoni is a software created to monitor one or more processes. percomoni is a software created to monitor one or more processes. It can read a regular expression from its configuration file to look up the process in your local process table.If the process is not running, percomoni will execute a given command and re-check if the process is up again. If the process is not up after executing the command, an email message will be sent to the address that belongs to that process.The config file allow to defined multiples process, each one with a unique name.When an action is given and the process start again, percomoni will not send any alarm.There is a set of command line options to clear the alarm status. When a monitored command was not found it retain the failed status. You need to manually clear the status for percomoni.There are a small set of commands that can be used to check the status or clean the status of the commands, please reefer to percomoni(8)Requirements:· PerlLimitations:· percomoni does not know how many entities for the command are running, it only check for a pattern at the process table.· It's main goal is to match a process at the local process table that looks like the pattern that you defined in conf file.· Just one email address can be set-ed to send the alarm for this process.
