Furl-save project is a Perl script that does a backup of your categorized, keyword-tagged web bookmarks. Furl-save project is a Perl script that does a backup of your categorized, keyword-tagged web bookmarks and their respective page contents stored on online service furl.netIt was tested on following platforms:· RedHat Linux 7.3· RedHat Linux 9.0· Fedora Core 4, 5, 6 on Intel x86· Microsoft Windows XP with ActivePerl installedRequirements:· Perl 5.6.0· Account on FurlUsage:First time you run the script, it creates configuration file template in your $HOME/.furlsaverc. Edit this file - provide your Furl user name and password (On Unix, this file is created with access rights 0600 so only you may access it).Next time you run the script it will login to Furl and download *.xml file (which contains data about your categories, bookmarks, comments, etc.) and *.zip file with saved page contents. Files are saved into the current working directory of the script with date timestamp. For example furl-archive-20050915.zip is an archive saved on 15 September 2005.
